SSAT Preparation Course

Students who are familiar with the test tend to be less anxious and are therefore able to focus more effectively on taking the test. This course provides significant practice and familiarity with the test.

This course is taught by a skilled teacher who has been teaching SSAT test-taking skills for over 20 years.

The class was developed to meet the needs of students who wanted a more individualized, personalized and affordable class to help them with test-taking.

When: 

• Time: TBD 

• Cost: $350  per student for a group of four or more; individual sessions available for added fee.

• Materials cost : approximately $20

• Online via Google Meet

This course provides individualized instruction to meet the needs of the students in the class. Students learn about themselves as test-takers and about skills that will help them specifically. Skills learned are applicable to all testing situations such as SATs.

• Specifics about the SSAT

• General test-taking strategies

• Strategies particular to the SSAT

• Verbal skills such as mastering a large quantity of vocabulary, making analogies, improving reading comprehension

• Math skills

• Essay Writing: writing a well organized, interesting essay
