Going to School with the Horses!

This Fall I am offering a workshop for children in grades 4-7, combining an interest in horses with an opportunity to practice reading and writing skills.  Through hands-on experiences and reading, children will learn about horse care, types of horses, colors, horse facts, and more! Children will have an opportunity to read to the horses, read horse stories and write about horses in a personal journal. It’s a fun, educational, and social experience! The horses love it and so will you!

Session 1:  Saturday Sept. 23, 30, Oct. 7, Oct.14

Session 2:  Saturday Oct. 21, 28  Nov. 4, 11 

Time:           9:00 - 12:00

Cost:           $ 300 per session*

* A higher fee applies for less than four children.  Reduced fees for multiple children from one family or for a child signing up for both sessions.

 

Classes are kept small to ensure individualized attention for each child and for safety. Classes are taught by Norma Harrington, an experienced horse caregiver, and Learning Specialist.
