Consultation Services

I provide consults to parents:

• to discuss educational options for a child

• to distill information about testing

• to make recommendations for further testing, counseling, or other services

•  to develop and understand a child's learning profile

• to share resources that are available to them.

These consults are ideal for parents who have questions about their child's academic struggles and school performance and would like to know ways to help him or her.

I provide consults to schools, especially those which do not have a Learning Specialist on staff. These consults include the following and can be tailored to cost-effectively meet the needs of the school: 

• review candidate files for acceptance ​to the school especially if the child has learning disabilities or is on an IEP.

• develop programs for children within the school who need services for reading, writing, math, and executive function.

• provide professional guidance and development in a collaborative manner to faculty in differentiation and strategies to meet the needs of students who need service (not including physical disabilities, severe behavioral issues, or moderate to severe autism).

I provide consults to students who want to know more about their testing, their learning style or ways they can improve their academic performance. These consults are particularly helpful to older teens and college students who want to maximize their learning potential and who are making choices about courses, majors or professions.
